18 Mar Microsoft Office 15 to Link with Social Media Sites

Microsoft have placed a job posting up that indicates that they are looking to include social media integration in their latest version of Microsoft Office. Office 15 will include standards, such as Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. An engineering job posting on the company's website states "For Office 15 we’re building new products to deliver integration of instant messaging/presence with social networks such as Facebook." This appears to be an indication that Microsoft are willing to follow the lead of of customer relationship management packages with a move towards social media, as the company looks for ways to reach people whenever they are online. There is no word on the level in integration yet. It may simply be integration with social media chat features, however all will be revealed when Office 15 is finally released.
