Financial services president named by H&R Block

Susan Ehrlich, a JPMorgan Chase executive, has been named for the newly created post as president of financial services by the H&R Block Inc. The announcement says that from next week Ehrlich, will oversee strategy for H&R Block Bank, Block’s Emerald Card offering and other financial services. At JPMorgan, Ehrlich has been a senior vice president involved with the banking company’s mobile payment services. Ehrlich said in an announcement that business opportunities are created by Block’s work with more than 70 million taxpayers who have little or no banking relationships. Ehrlich serves on the board of the Center for Financial Services Innovation, which Block described as focusing on financial services for under-banked consumers.
