04 May Symantec Announce Symantec Security Assessment for Salesforce

Symantec have announced that they will release Symantec Security Assessment for Salesforce. The security application will be made available on the AppExchange and Syamantec plan to integrate it into their Symantec Control Compliance Suite to provide customers with a view of both the security and compliance of applications and information in the cloud. The company has also joined the salesforce.com ecosystem, which will allow the company to build applications using the Force.com technologies as well as allowing them to new customers and market to existing salesforce.com customers via the AppExchange. The company's latest app has been built using the Force.com framework and is scheduled for release in mid-2011. Existing Symantec Control Compliance Suite, with a current subscription, and salesforce.com customers will be able to use the solution at no additional cost.
