12 Jan Cazenove Launch RDR-Friendly Platform

Cazenove Capital Management has announced that they are launching their x share class for equity and multi-manager funds on platforms in an effort to provide advisers with low-cost institutional pricing. The shareclass has an annual management charge of 0.75% for equity funds and 0.5% for the multi-manager range according to www.citywire.co.uk. Cazenove Capital managing director Robin Minter-Kemp commented "This [share class] provides access to institutional pricing and waives the minimum, as long as clients go through platforms. We want clients to intermediate with advisers…we are deterring direct investors and are encouraging wholesale pricing via the platform. This x shareclass will be made available through platforms where there is demand." Rob Thorpe, head of UK retail at the firm, continued "Investors should not access the funds cheaper than the IFA can offer them, so this is supporting the advisory market place." They believe that he lower AMC offered by the platform offers a level of flexibility for advisers when it comes to determining fee negotiations with clients via platforms.
